My Cup Runneth Over

I’ve been working on a new project this past month and a half, as part of a fundraiser for The Clay Studio, where I work. The Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador is a non-profit, so part of my job involves fundraising through special events to keep our lovely little studio running.

It’s all about ’40’.
Since 2012 is the Craft Council’s 40th anniversary, we’re holding a big 40th Gala event. At that event, I’ll be manning a Clay Studio table, featuring 40 beautiful limited edition, one-of-a-kind ceramic cups.  One cup for every year, for a total of 40 cups at $40 each. Like that 40-theme we’ve got going on there?

These hand-built and wheel-thrown cups will also bear the special 40th edition of the Craft Council logo. They’re are all different shapes and sizes with a variety of surface decoration and glazes — truly one-of-a-kind!

Wanna get one?
They’lll be displayed and sold at the 40th Gala on June 22nd at 7 p.m. Why don’t you come by, meet me and see them? I’ve almost got them all done and will be posting some photos of the finished products in the next week or so. Check back!

Looking forward to raising some funds for our Clay Studio through this ceramics project. Wish me luck!
